Worktop samples in quartz, granite, marble and oak

Home/Materials

What we build with, and why

Humidity, hard water and heavy daily use are the three things that kill joinery in this part of the world. Everything below is chosen for all three.

Plywood carcass and soft-close hinge detail

Carcass & hardware

18 mm moisture-resistant plywood, sealed edges, Blum or Hettich soft-close throughout. This is the part you never see and the part that decides whether the kitchen still closes properly in year eight.

Quartz and granite worktop samples

Stone & worktops

Quartz for near-zero maintenance, granite for heat, marble for looks, solid timber for warmth. Templated on site after the cabinets are in — never from a drawing.

Acrylic and laminate finish swatches

Finishes & glass

Matt and gloss lacquer, high-pressure laminate, acrylic and veneer, plus fluted, lacquered, smoked and mirrored 6 mm toughened glass.

Standard specification

Our default spec sheet

This is what you get unless you ask for something different. Upgrades are priced openly and listed as separate lines on your quote.

Shutters & fronts
Moisture-resistant MDF in matt or gloss lacquer, high-pressure laminate, acrylic, or veneer. Fingerprint-resistant options on request.
Your choice
Hinges & runners
Blum or Hettich soft-close throughout — hinges, drawer runners, lift-ups. Both carry a manufacturer lifetime mechanism warranty.

Straight answers

Three things worth knowing before you choose

More expensive isn't always better here

Acrylic fronts look superb and scratch more easily than laminate. In a family kitchen with three children, laminate is the smarter buy and we will say so, even though it bills less.

Marble is beautiful and it stains

Lemon juice, turmeric and olive oil all mark it. If you cook daily and want a stone that forgives you, choose quartz and put the marble on the island where it gets admired instead of chopped on.

Hardware is where cheap jobs cut corners

Unbranded hinges look identical on install day and start dropping doors within two years. Blum and Hettich are our floor, not an upgrade line.

Questions about specification

Something not covered here? WhatsApp us on +971 56 464 0625 and ask — a real person replies.

Five years on our craftsmanship — carcass joints, edge banding, alignment, and the installation itself. Blum and Hettich hardware carries its own manufacturer warranty on the mechanism. Normal wear, impact damage and water damage from a plumbing failure aren't covered.

Usually. Bring us a photo, or better, a spare panel or door. We can match laminate and lacquer colours closely, and we'll tell you honestly if an exact match isn't achievable rather than guessing and hoping.

It doesn't. The quote is fixed at sign-off. The only thing that changes the number is you asking for something different — a finish upgrade, an extra unit. Anything we should have spotted at survey stage is on us.
